Eastern Region’s entertainment website Kumikasa.com can exclusively state that Angel FM Accra for the third time in a month has migrated from the 106.5 Frequency Modulation to 102. 9 FM.

The Accra based station started transmission on 102.9 FM and quite recently migrated to 103.3F M as a result of frequency jam caused on Top 103.1 FM transmission and that residents in and around the capital find it difficult to get the reception of Angel FM, forcing them to acquire 106.5 FM.

Here we are today, Accra based Angel FM for the third time is now operating on its old Frequency Modulation 102.9 after has been authorized by National Communications Authority (NCA), the sole Governmental agency which assigns, allocates and regulates the use of frequencies and also gives Licences/Authorisations.

The Lapaz based radio station promises to become an industry leader, powered by its host of great presenters to be recruited. Angel FM is set to compete in the Twi-speaking, mass market demographic and will cover programmes such as politics, sports, business, entertainment etc.

The CEO, Dr. Kwaku Oteng owns a number of business interests including Angel Broadcasting Networks which operates Accra based Angel TV, digital television station as well as a good number of commercial radio stations. He owns Angel Group of Companies, comprising Angel Herbal Industry, Angel Natural Mineral Water, Angel Transport and Trading Limited, Angel Gold Mining Company, Adonko Bitters, Angel Educational Complex and Angel Estates and Construction Limited all based in Kumasi.

Should we expect another change in frequency ? Time will tell !

Angel FM Accra started its test transmission in the nation’s capital in April 2017.
