Adane Best accuses Kuami Eugene of ‘stealing’

Ghanaian highlife sensation, Adane Best has come out to accuse rockstar, Kuami Eugene of stealing lines from his songs with due diligence.

Adane Best in his era gave Ghanaians the most original and unique contemporary highlife music we will never forget.

In an interview with DJ Premier on Accra FM, Adane Best made the accusation that the sound Kuami Eugene makes on his songs ‘Eeeeeee eeeeeee‘ was ‘stolen’ from his hit song ‘Mama’ which he uses a lot of times in the introduction of his songs.

Adane Best also alleged that in Kuami Eugene’s ‘Wish Me Well’, the lines “Nana Nyame Kabi mam3 kabi mam3 kabi mam3 kabi mam3 kabi ma wo mba Nana Nyame b3 Kabi ma wo mba ah” were also taken from the last line of his ‘Mama’ song.

When DJ Premier asked him if he had the intention of going ahead with any legal battle to claim damages for what Kuami Eugene has done,

Adane Best stated that his goal is not to get money from the rockstar but he just wants the right thing to be done.
He also added that at least Kuami Eugene should have credited him once he used his lines just like it is done elsewhere in the world.
