Ambolley applauds Hammer’s decision to resign from MUSIGA
Former Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Vice President, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, has lauded the resignation of Edward Nana Poku Osei aka Hammer of the Last II from the Union.
The astute music producer stepped down from his role as Director of Hiplife after revealing that the Union had rendered him redundant.
Hammer, born Edward Nana Poku Osei, was appointed by MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour) about two years ago to manage and develop hiplife in Ghana.
But the producer says after several frantic efforts to start work, he decided to resign from the post.
Commenting on the development Mr Ambolley speaking on EWITHBECKS on the Joy Prime channel said there is a lot of foul play at the Union.
“He did the right thing and he is trying to alert the public to know what’s going on in there, whether it’s good or bad,” he said.
He also added that there is too much backstabbing in the musicians association which is not helping the industry.
Meanwhile, Oak Plaza honoured the 71-year-old highlife musician for his talent and contribution to the music industry.
According to the hotel, the honour was their humble way to show appreciation to the veteran for his talent and contribution to the music industry.
Gospel Musician Diana Hopeson, Highlife musician Bessa Simons, Mary Ghansah, Amandzeba as well as Pozo Hayes were some musicians who were there to support veteran Ambolley.
