Gone are the days where we shunned our local music and TV and radio programmes bombarded us with foreign materials. This has changed because of the timely intervention of Ghanaian musicians and stakeholders.Other African countries with the same procedure are able to eliminate foreign materials on both TV and radio especially in South Africa. But upon all these restrictions,we still have few Artistes who are making waves in South Africa.

According to investigation done by Kumikasa.com, it is just a handful of South African who take time out to listen and enjoy music from other African countries, this is because music from other African countries especially Ghana are not popular in South Africa because the mainstream media do not provide such content to the masses.

Kumikasa.com in our interview with a South African based journalist has disclosed that Atom Reloaded is heavily making waves in South Africa with his new song “M’aabow’ which means “I’m drunk”

According to the journalist, “M’aabow” by Atom is a street anthem in South Africa. The song since its release weeks ago is receiving massive rotation across major radio stations and clubs in South Africa.

“Off the top of my head (and you’d need to correct me because I may not mention their names correctly) but I’d say Sarkodie, R2Bees, MzVee, a certain Kuami Eugene guy,Kidi and Stonebwoy are a little popular here in S.A. But the popular song in South Africa currently is from Ghana and is a song by Atom Reloaded tagged “M’aabow”. Among these names, Sarkodie is the most popular name here in S.A.
