CORN SAGA; Mother, Two Daughters And Baby Released From Prison.

A mother and her two daughters have been released from prison after being pronounced guilty for stealing left over corn.

The Court found Joyce and her two daughters including a lactating mother guilty for the crime, failure to pay a fine of Ghs360.00.

Relating to this development, Ghanaian born International athlete, Christian Atsu has liberate Madam Joyce and her two daughters of serving a 3 month jail term for collecting rejected harvested corn from a farm without permission after donating to the family.

In a facebook post, Crime Check Foundation’s, CCF’s Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng stated that, the three jailed including a baby has been released and the family were overwhelmed, after their liberation from prison.

“It was all smiles today as family of three jailed for collecting corn left overs were released from prison.”

Kwarteng Oppong stated that, Crime Check Foundation accompanied the ex-convicts to their place of residence at Okuso in the Eastern Region and was startled with the high level of poverty in that jurisdiction.

“We took them all the way to their hometown at Okosu in the Eastern region. I have never seen the level of poverty I saw today at Okosu in my entire life”
