DJ Blay Urges Fellow DJ’s To Pay More Attention To Eastern Region Artistes

The newly Eastern Music Award Best Record Promoter of the year who works with EIB Network’s Nkawkaw based radio Station Agoo 96.9 fm, Akwasi Omari Ayirebi known as DJ Blay has appealed to his follow DJs in the region to play more of the local artist songs.

The 2nd Edition of the recently ended Eastern Music Awards organized by Hi5 Empire which was dubbed ‘Celebrating Eastern Legends and Stars’ saw Agoo FM’s DJ Blay winning Record Promoter of the year.

DJ Blay with his new platform called on fellow DJs in the Eastern to promote musicians in the area which according to him, 50 percent of music played should come from these artists and also advised the musicians to do more good production for their music to be promoted.

According to DJ Blay, the Eastern artists must always be given air play because they can also rise to the top like the big artists who are mostly known in the country but admitted that a music without good content lack its credibility.

The Maiden Edition of the Eastern Music Awards was held on Saturday, 7th October, 2017 with Koo Ntakra, picking up Artiste of the year.

However, the 2nd edition has seen Phada Gaza emerging as the new Artist of the Year with Roll Call a music duo emerging as the group of the year.

The three Award winners were hosted on Agoo fm morning Show ‘’Ene Nso Biem’’ as part of celebrating their victory as far as Eastern Music Award is concern.

In an interview with Kwame Koranteng Monday, Phada Gaza spoke about his many challenges in the journey to their way but kept pushing.

The multiple award winner DJ Blay added that winning the Best Record Promoter of the year has been a long way adding that as a promoter, he makes sure the artists get to play more shows, have a very quality sound even though he was quick to add that the job is not easy.

The award winners commended organizers of Eastern Music Awards and ensured massive effort to create good environment in the music industry.
