DL Jnr Runs To GHAMRO To Beg Daddy Lumba

Kwame Anokye popularly known as Daddy Lumba Jnr. has beseeched the Ghana Music Right Organisation, GHAMRO led by Rex Omar to apologise to legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba over his suit against him at the Accra High Court .

The Daddy Lumba look-alike in a conversation on Peace FM with Kwasi Aboagye confirmed that he received court summons from the ‘Yentie Obia’ hitmaker on Monday, January 29 this year.

Explaining why he run to GHAMRO over the lawsuit, DL Jnr who sounded sorrowful divulged that he does not have the courage to face Charles Kwadwo Fosu in court so he asked the music body to beg him on his behalf.

He added that executives of GHAMRO promised to talk to the respected highlife musician to forgive so he should take heart.

“I went to GHAMRO to inform them about the issue because I cannot argue with Daddy at the court of law, I don’t have that courage. I pleaded with them to beg Daddy Lumba on my behalf. They promised to talk to him on my behalf”-says DL Jnr

Asked if he has indeed impersonated the original DL as the suit claimed, Mr. Anokye answered no. He added that he cannot imitate the ‘Aben Wo Ha’ singer.

Reports had it that celebrated artiste, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, the real Daddy Lumba, has filed a lawsuit at the Accra High Court alleging that, Kwame Anokye pretends to be the son and even impersonates him to get lavish gifts and benefits.
