Winner of Highlife song of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Kidi has asked Ghanaians to put an end to trolling King Promise because he could not pick a single award at the VGMAs.
King Promise became the subject of trolls across all social media platforms after he could not pick up a single award at the VGMAs.
But reacting to the trolls, Kidi indicated that King Promise is a winner because majority of Ghanaians love his songs and therefore there is no need to belittle him to dampen his the spirit he started the career with.
Kidi who was speaking on Accra-based Class Fm indicated that “Every Ghanaian out there likes King Promise, we all love him, and he has done an amazing thing, so, we shouldn’t try to tease him or try to belittle him to dampen his spirit because he didn’t win an award”.
He added further that “It is good to have an award, it is nice but the dream is still bigger than just an award, and, so, King Promise is a winner forever”.
