Get Close And Personal With SIR. WAGZI Ghana’s Sensational New Male Artiste

Nana Kwaku Sarpong Ababio, a natural born star with the stage name, Sir. Wagzi, was born on 30th September to Nana Kwame Okyere Mensah Ababio and Vivian Smart Kwawu from Santasi Kumasi and Kedzi Keta in the Ashanti and the Volta Regions of Ghana and attended Hilltop Junior School at Daban in Kumasi and later proceeded to Opoku Ware Secondary School (OWASS) for his SSS in 2008 where he officially adopted his brand name, Sir. Wagzi.

His passion for music started from Hilltop Junior Secondary School when he was a part of the choir. The passion never died as he continued with the Opoku Ware School choir in his first year. He later became the ‘Gyama’ (Jama) lead singer for the Opoku Ware School Army Cadet. He rose to the Jama lead singer of Opoku Ware School in his third year. Sir Wagzi was also appointed that same year as the Second In Command Of the Opoku Ware School Army cadet.

Sir. Wagzi had his Tertiary education at University For Development Studies (UDS)- Navrongo Campus and was the lead ‘Jama’ singer for Savannah Hall. He was a Reggae show host on Radio FAS 95.1MHz, a Campus based Radio on UDS Navrongo campus.

He later got the Opportunity to travel outside the shores of Ghana in 2017 to The United Arab Emirates, Dubai. He’s back to fully pursue his musical career in Ghana commercially.

Bob Marley, Culture and Lucky are his role models as he also draws great inspirations from living Legends like A.B Crenstil, Reggie Rockstone, Shasha Marley, Rocky Dawuni, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba, Samini just to mention a few.

He sees himself as an Afro Highlife Reggae Artist. His debut song is a song for Fathers which was produced and mastered by the legendary producer Beatz Dakay and titled Darling Father.
