Regardless of the chart topping songs by Maradona Yeboah Adjei popularly known as Guru, he can’t boast of at least three plaques by Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Guru’s bitter experience has attracted public sympathy as those who don’t appreciate his works wholeheartedly have seen that he has not been treated fairly over the years.
Over the years, even though the award-winning hit maker Guru been consistent with dropping hits after hits, being given all his deserving awards for those hit songs at the Vodafon Ghana Music Awards never happened.
Even though in certain instances it was obvious he deserve to win certain categories.
This year, the VGMA board once again snubbed Guru even though he released a couple of hits and performed on a number of shows than most of the artiste nominated.
Former manager of Guru, Ray Moni, who wasn’t happy about Guru’s snub this year took to his Facebook wall, thus he posted..
“And I repeat my bro here doesn’t focus on awards but when it comes it’s nice to him he is only focusing on releasing good music with quality videos which I know God will reward him for serving his nation 🙏🙏🙏🙏”
