I Featured Yaa Pono Because He Raps Better Than Sarkodie

Fast rising rapper Xtra Thug has stated that, even though Sarkodie may be the most dominating hiplife artiste currently in the country in terms of rap, Yaa Pono raps better than him (Sarkodie). He further stated that, Yaa Pono is the future of Ghana music.

Xtra in an interview with Kumikasa.com disclosed that, he featured Yaa Pono on his new song “Weather No” because he believes Yaa Pono is the future of GH rap.

“Arguably, Sarkodie is one of the best rappers on the continent. He has grown from that young Tema rapper to become international rapper entertaining music lovers around the world, He has been doing well on his lyrics but I think Yaa Pono is the future of Ghana music,Yaa Pono is lyrically ahead of Sarkodie and this triggered my collaboration with Yaa Pono on my ‘Weather No’ song” -said Xtra Thug.

Xtra Thug further emphasized that, if there happens to be another opening for him to create another song with Yaa Pono, he will gleefully grab it.
