I stopped Stonebwoy, Samini from performing Reign concert -Bulldog

Artiste manager, Lawrence Hanson popularly known as Bulldog says he stopped dancehall musicians, Samini and Stonebwoy from performing at Shatta Wale’s Reign album launch over the weekend.

The reason he prevented them from mounting the stage, according to Bulldog, was to keep them away from harm.

Bulldog, speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday, recalled a recent interview Stonebwoy granted Hitz FM where he said Shatta Wale would be dead if he were in Jamaica after the latter allegedly accused him of killing his mother.

With this, Bulldog said it would have been deadly to invite Stonebwoy and Samini on stage infront of angry fans.

According to Bulldog, it was never a deliberate attempt to push them away.

“We had done some ground works and we realized it is in their interest not to come on stage. It would have been chaotic. Even way before they came there, there is a video of a young man talking about destroying Sarkodie’s car. We [media] allow a lot of things to slide and they go down to the masses.

“Three weeks ago, he was captured on tape saying if he was Jamaica, Shatta would be dead. We were very low when they approached us. It was good for them not to come on stage. Some of the fans will take this over. Shatta wouldn’t hold it personal but the fan base is different from the artiste,” he told Andy Dosty.

Dancehall act, Samini says he was present at Shatta Wale’s Reign album launch concert that happened over the weekend with fellow colleague Stonebwoy but they were not allowed to perform.

The “My Own” musician explained that, just as Shatta Wale surprised him at his Saminifest concert last year, he wanted to do same for his brother but Shatta refused the gesture.
