Ghanaian broadcaster, Captain Smart, says gospel musician Brother Sammy has done nothing wrong with regard to his controversial song.

Brother Sammy has come under pressure for releasing a song that describes his perceived enemies with unprintable words.

It is rumoured that the song is targeted at gospel musician turned prophetess, Cecilia Marfo, who is alleged to have slapped him in the face during a deliverance service in her church.

But speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Wednesday, the Adom FM presenter, Captain Smart jumped to Brother Sammy’s defense, saying “sometimes when you’re full of pain, you can express it…”

In Captain’s estimation, Brother Sammy did not insult anyone hence those who think otherwise have evil thoughts about the gospel artiste.

“When I say you are empty, I haven’t insulted you. I mean you’re empty-headed. What offence has Bro Sammy committed? He says useless people talk thrash. Why be bothered when you don’t talk trash about people you hardly know. Tell Bro Sammy that this is the best creativity,” Captain told Andy Dosty.

Asked if he should render an apology, the Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem host said “He should apologise to who? At any point in time in a man’s life, some amount of insult is permissible… I am not just endorsing the song; I will join him to remix it”, he noted.

Meanwhile, some gospel musicians in the country have taken on their fellow gospel musician, Brother Sammy, for disgracing the name of God.

The musicians, speaking on Adom FM’s Drive Time Show, ‘Ofiekwanso’ on Tuesday expressed disappointment in the controversial musician for releasing what many have termed as the most “stupid gospel song to have ever been sung by a musician”.
