Live worship has become a major segment and program on most radio stations in Ghana but little is known about the originator of this great radio concept.
Renowned radio personality Kwame Dwumah Mensah popularly known as Dr. Prekese has disclosed that he was the brain behind today’s live worship on radio.
In an interview on Yonkopa Fm with Nana Kwame Gyan, the now drive time host of Onua FM, Dr Prekese disclosed he started live worship on radio after he had taken over from Abeiku Santana as the drive time host on Adom FM.
“I started live worship on radio but most people do not know”.
Adding that, though Abeiku Santana was doing live worship with recorded songs he was the one who introduced the idea of bringing the artistes to the studio with all the instruments whichh is now replicated on most radio stations.
Dr. Prekese stated that he wanted to leave a legacy because taking over from Abeiku Santana was a huge task due to his popularity in the industry.
