Kwesi Arthur’s ‘Grind Day’ is my favourite Ghanaian song – South African rapper Nasty C

South African rapper, Nasty C has revealed that his favourite Ghanaian song is ‘Grind Day’ by rapper Kwesi Arthur.

He made the disclosure during an interview on Starr Drive on Starr 103.5 FM on Monday, April 16, 2018.

“Kwesi Arthur’s ‘Grind Day.’ I first heard it when he came on stage. I feel like that confidence to come out, just like… Yeah, I respect that.” stated the South African rapper to host Giovani Caleb.

Arthur won ‘Hip Song of the Year‘ award and also performed at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards. The event was held at the Accra International Conference.

He also evealed that apper Sarkodie is the biggest Ghanaian artiste in South Africa.

“Ghanaian artiste? I feel like yes because I knew about him before I even started getting like recognition and I already knew who Sarkodie was. I heard Sarkodie. I know Sarkodie from way back. I know about Sarkodie. Sarkodie is big. I think… South Africa knows Sarkodie!”

He also spoke about the desire to work with Sarkodie on a musical collaboration, and the first time they met.

“Yes. Definitely. We haven’t done that. We met… It was like a quick “yo, what’s up? My name is…” and that was… It was in South Africa for the MAMA Awards and I met him backstage.”

The rapper born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo was one of two foreign artistes who performed at the 2018 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.

Nasty C
In a related development, the ‘Phases’ rapper achieved his desire to meet Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy.

The former had stated his desire to meet the ‘Mama’ artiste before he leaves for his South African base even if they don’t work together on a record.

I have to meet Stonebwoy. Forget work, even if we don’t work, I just have to meet him, just like his energy,” explained the ‘Phases’ rapper to Giovani Caleb on Starr Drive on Starr 103.5 FM on Monday afternoon.
