The second edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Award – ERMEA is scheduled to be launched on 25th May 2018 at the Koforidua Guest Hotel.
Speaking in an interview, the PRO, Quarshie Tetteh Joshua said the second edition of ERMEA ’18 will be launched on the stated date under the theme “Celebrating Excellence In Radio Broadcasting”.
He continued that, ERMEA ’18 is bringing in innovations to make it credible and exceptional compared to other media award schemes.
“We have added new categories to the last years’ 15 categories and will also be introducing a new voting pattern which will be unveiled during the launch”, he said.
The P.R.O though did not explain this year’s criteria for nomination but hinted they have adopted a new one which will indeed make the award scheme better.
Furthermore, The Public Relation Officer explained that, prior to the launch, the team have extensively monitored all programs of various radio stations across the length and breadth of the region in the months of January and February which extended to the middle of March. They also embarked on a radio tour in the month of April and will launch the event in May. June will be for nominations and voting will start early July. The climax of the 2nd edition of ERMEA will be in August.
He expressed his gratitude to all media houses who have endorsed ERMEA, and asked every media house to participate because it is the only regional based media award scheme to project the East and promised that ERMEA will be a hallmark in media awarding scheme.
