Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong known in the showbiz industry as Great Ampong is a well known gospel musician in Ghana who preaches the word of God through music.
Speaking on the Soul Winners Show on Sunday 29th April 2018 on Zylofon 102.1FM with Kwadwo Boateng Coxbi, Ampong expressed his disappointment in Ghana and vowed not to allow any of his children to stay in the country after they are nine years of age. Because none of the systems favours the good citizens of the land.
According to him, no system helps in the development of the people and most especially musicians. “I will never allow any of my children to stay in Ghana after they are nine years of age because none of our systems favours us, and I will not allow my children to suffer the way I did”, he said.
This has raised a lot of controversy because of his affiliation to the current ruling party (NPP).
Great Ampong is a product of BANDEX Music Production and has fifteen album to his credit and he is also known for his passionate love for the ruling New Patriotic Party.
Prior to the 2012 general elections in Ghana, the “Hosanna” hit maker composed a campaign song for then opposition party, New Patriotic Party and it’s candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo which was used and performed in almost all their campaign platforms.
The “wild” Ampong is a husband and a father of five children.
