medikal’s omoada was by far the most played song of the year 2019 in Ghana. the song omoada released in January, became the most played song in pubs,clubs,schools especially amongst kids .. but just before the end of 2018 we saw Bobby Billion hit the Ghana music scene with a dancehall banger titled ‘yabreankayada’ with a wild video which got the attention of music lovers in Ghana and Ghanaians in the diaspora.
Medikal’s omoada(they are asleep) a direct reply to Bobby billion’s yabre Anka yada which means (if we were tired we would be sleeping). the both artiste live in the same locality Soutuom and although we haven’t seen a collaboration between them medikal has featured on Bobby Billion’s entertainment show ‘StarShip’ and have affiliations with Ghana’s celebrated dancehall king shattawale.
Bobby Billion was was robbed multiple times after the release of his yabreankayada video was said to have gone into hidding this year because of claims of attacks made on his life. In recent times medikal is seen mentioning yabreankayada’ in his songs and is still going strong whiles Bobby Billion seem to be having serious misunderstanding with his management team and goes missing in action.. his song yabreankayada encouraged many upcoming artistes who drew inspiration from it and his ent. show has helped many into the limelight! These two songs have been the most influential highlight of the music scene in Ghana for the year 2018-2019, the question now is omoada anaa(or) Yabreankayada?
