OT Picks Kwabena Kwabena Over Kojo Antwi In Top 5 Highlifers ?

Multifarious Highlife cum Afro Pop artiste, Richmond Kofi Tuffour, popularly known in music circles as OT has revealed his top five (5) Highlife musicians in Ghana currently.

In an interview with Kumikasa.com, naming one of the country’s best Highlife musicians, Kwabena Kwabena, as the first on his list, OT said,

“Kwabena Kwabena is a unique musician. One can tell his style is indigenous. He is presenting Africa to the world. He sounds African, but modern and you can relate to almost 95{c151fd8a147ddff852f5795900bc3f49fb6f3f3def38a8fe7b2489f983e107b3} of his songs.”

“Kojo Antwi sustained the Highlife vibrancy from the burger highlife days when he started all the way till the time folks like Daasebr3, Michael Dwamena, Kwaisey Pee, Dada KD, etc joined and then later Kwabena kwabena, Bisa, Wutah Akwaboah jnr, etc came on board,” OT remarked as he put Kojo Antwi in second place on his list.

OT shot into fame after releasing his banger, “Menkoaa” which he featured Luther and Kobby Simple. OT has carved a very big niche for himself in terms of Highlife music. His actual name is Richmond Kofi Tuffour. He acquired the name, Otumfour when he started as a rapper in Kumasi and continued using that name when he became a singer, unofficially, but when he launched his music career, officially, he and his management decided to push the new brand, OT.
OT means Ohene Tuffour, which is how he’s called at home by folks and loved ones.
