The First Lady of Ghana, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo has received a signed replica jersey from Chelsea and Belgian star, Eden Hazard.

In a video, the Chelsea and Belgium star is heard saying “Hi Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo this is for you” which suggests he had officially signed the jersey to be delivered to Mrs Akufo-Addo.

The First Lady who posted the video on Instagram expressed her joy at the surprise gesture from Hazard.

“I believe one of the best surprises I have had so far this year, is receiving a personally signed replica jersey, by one of the world’s best players, Eden Hazard.

A Chelsea football player, Belgian international and face of Nike Sports. Thank you so much,” she captioned the video.

Immediately the video hit social media, a section of Ghanaians who obviously support Chelsea expressed their happiness that the First Lady is a Chelsea fan.

As somebody engaged in a lot of philanthropy, it may well be a means for her to raise funds for her projects but if she is indeed a Chelsea fan, then the house of the Akufo-Addos will be interesting on English Premier League matchdays.

President Nana Akufo-Addo himself is known to be a supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs, one of the London rivals of Chelsea.
