WATCH YOUR TONGUE EDUCATIONAL HANDOUT LAUNCHED

The watch your tongue Foundation, advanced by Sergeant Daniel Ofori and Mr. Benjamin O. Arhin Jnr. also known as B.noskka, on the 11th of June, 2021 launched an educational handout known as “Watch Your Tongue Educational Handout”.

The event, saw the presence of dignitaries like Dr. Nana Kum Krampa, Paramount Chief of Anyan Denkyira Achiapem division, Mr. Kwadwo Dickson manager of Angel Broadcasting Network, Madam Frances Asiam C.E.O of Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company, Mr. Cletus Avoka a former minister for interior, Nana Ama Serwaa Bonsu, President of Queen mothers Foundation, Professor Osei Korankye, lecturer at the Performing Arts department of the University of Ghana, Nana Akua Belinda famously known as Mzbel a songstress, some members of the clergy were also present such as Rev. Thomas Ati, Apostle Kwesi Asempa, Rev. Richmond Manu among others.

The chairman for the program, Dr. Kwaku Oteng Chairman for Angel Group of Companies represented by Mr. Kwadwo Dickson General Manager of Angel Broadcasting Network in his acceptance speech for the chairmanship of the program stated that it is empirical for us as a people to be mindful of our thoughts and utterances at all times. Mr. Kwadwo Dickson affirmed that the business mogul accepts the position of Chairmanship for the launch and would have loved to be present at the event since he saw semblance of the content of the book in his character but could not make it due to time constraints and other pressing issues. To indicate how important the event was to the chairman, Mr. Kwadwo Dickson further stated to the fact that the venue for the event, which was the Sunlodge hotel at Tesano, Accra was scouted by Dr. Kwaku Oteng and the bills footed by him accordingly.

The Authors of the book, Sergeant Daniel Ofori and Mr. Benjamin Oduro Arhin Jnr. in their statement made it clear that the book is a manual for character and attitude formation and is also linked to child protection. The purpose of the launch however, was to raise funds for the child protection campaign for the 2021/2022 calendar year. Sergeant Daniel Ofori a Police Officer at the Legal Department of the Ghana Police Service encapsulated the thematic areas of the handout into four as follows;

1. Mind education; which he states in simple terms as think right.

2. Verbal communication; this, in simple terms is stated as speak right. The book advises that we must use pleasant words at all times regardless of your mood or emotions at any given point in time.

3. Non-verbal communication; this is defined in simple terms as act right. The book reminds its readers to be mindful of their actions in order to bring social cohesion and personal safety as well.

4. Literary communication; the author stated that a student must right to pass, a pastor must right to preach well, a musician must write good lyrics in order to produce good songs lawmakers, Kings, Queens, and Chiefs also write a lot for accountability sake. This thematic area is therefore known as write right.

“We believe these four concepts plus others, emotional intelligence, how to make friends how to deal with difficult people can help you live right”.

Sergeant Daniel Ofori, urged everyone to get a copy of the book which would help them attain personal safety and global development.

The event was laced with performances from Professor, Osei Korankye, Lecturer at the performing Arts Department of the University of Ghana, Nana A.K. winner of the TV3 Talented Kidz season 11, Righteous Vandyke winner for Adom TV’s Nsoromma season 1, among others. The event ended with a performance of the Child Rights Protection Campaign Song by Sergeant Daniel Ofori.
