On Friday April 20, Nana Adoo Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo submitted the list of all staff members at the Jubilee House to the parliament of Ghana.
The president’s release of this information is in compliance with Section 11 of the Presidential Office Act, 1993 (Act 463), which requires the President to submit annually to Parliament, a report on the staffing position of the Office of the President.
The president’s report indicated that there are 998 workers at the presidency including senior ministers and civil or public servants.

The release of this list has generated a lot of controversy with more of it coming from members of the biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress.
It is on the back of this list that outspoken musician and politician, Kwame A-Plus, has jabbed his own party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing their decision to justify governments appointment of 998 Staffers at the Jubilee House as ‘nonsense.’
A-Plus said one of the reasons why they voted Mahama and his incompetent cohorts out of power is the same thing the NPP have started doing, which include having as many as 998 people working at the seat of government and milking the hard-earned money of the tax payer.
Like he always does, A-Plus resorted to Facebook to make his grievances known to the world. He wrote:
“I went live on Facebook countless times to tell the world how tax payers money was being wasted on unwanted presidential staffer”
“Fortunately, we got the change we cried for. Instead of reducing the number to a reasonable one or at least maintaining the same number we increased it and told Ghanaians that we have added “only a little over 220,” he wrote.
“Most of them were appointed by Mahama.” Such nonsense. Did you call for change to continue Mahama’s “incompetence” or to make things better?”
A-Plus until this time had been a heavy anti-NDC campaigner on social media. In 2016, he did several live videos to throw punches at the Mahama-led NDC administration.
