In an interview with Koosebor on PureFM’s Bar4Bar, Junior_PSL was questioned why He and other Kumerican acts prefer to work with foreign producers instead of those from Kumasi and He had this to say;

“ Most of the artistes cannot pay an upfront fee the producers demand for beat making. So they resort to beats available online for free which ended up making these hit”.

He went on to reiterate that He does not have anything against any producer from Kumasi but is suggesting that they begin to introduce the split-sheet method of dealing with artiste.

“I am suggesting that the Kumasi producers should start working on splits with the artistes so they can have an even play field to conquer. In this business where most of us don’t have investors, it is difficult for artistes to raise money for producers and with this, it will be welcoming to engage the kumasi producers so we can create beautiful bangers and make money together”, He went on to say.

Since the inception of the Kumerican Drill (Asakaa), almost all of the hit songs are produced by a UK producer by name Chris Rich.

Chris Rich, the UK based producer who produced most of the Kumerican banger has gone up to be nominated for the 2020 VGMA as the Best Producer for his contribution on various songs nominated in this year’s scheme.

He currently hold the producer credit for the biggest songs currently in the country like Akatafuo, Sore and the Remix, Ekorso and.
