Duplications of CD’s And Copyrights Issues Have Discourage Some Veteran Musicians-Pozo Hayes

Veteran high-life musician Nana Boakye Ofori Atta, popularly known in music circles as Pozo Hayes has revealed that, some veteran musicians feel discouraged from doing music because of the duplication of CD’s and copyright issues.

According to Pozo Hayes, the introducing of technology into the music industries has affected the sale of music because there exist more easy ways to download music from the internet unlike the 80’s and 90’s where one had to buy it from the musical shops.

“Now I can say it’s very hard for the veteran musicians” Pozo Hayes made this know on the Joy Dadi Showbiz Arena on Bryt99.1 FM.

“In the 90s the CD sales were very good and we were making money because the duplications of the CD’s were not there” he said.
Pozo Hayes who has 10 albums to his credit observed most media houses hardly play his songs besides a few others.

“I have released 10 albums including my latest track but the D.J’s don’t play my tracks and only “Ak3kak3ka” that I have heard them playing. I get calls from loved ones most often telling me they hear my songs being played on radio but is the same old songs.” He added.

Pozo Hayes who also worked with the National Lotteries Authority is now on retirement and is out with a new song titled I got a feeling. You can take a listen below.
