Atesem Hemaa Wins BIG At ERMEA

At the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards last Saturday, one thing on the minds of many media practitioners in the Eastern Region was to win at least win one or two awards to cement their hardwork in the year under review.

Covid 19 came with it’s own issues and we all agree the media played a very significant role in the dissemination of information in the last year hence, they have to be rewarded in their diverse contribution to mother Ghana.

Known in real life as Grace Afumwaa, Atesem Hemaa has been one of the voices on Bryt99.1FM in Koforidua whom many love to hear and get their news update.

It was therefore not a surprise to many in the auditorium when her name was mentioned as the Newscaster of the Year 2020.

Atesem who was equally happy for receiving the award expressed her appreciation to God Almighty, her employers, management and above all, the supporting staff for this award.

“It is my wish that I continue to give our listeners the best of news coverage and use my medium to project positivity and bring results to society” she told us.

Bryt FM also won the station of the year.

This years edition of ERMEA was the fourth but the first to be held under AJWills Media.
