ERMEA AWARDS : Who Wins The Late Afternoon Show Host Of The Year ?

The maiden edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards comes off next month, August 5th at the Linda Dor Plaza in Koforidua-Eastern Region.

Organisers will seek to reward deserving players in the radio fraternity.But today we are looking at one of the biggest/competitive category and that’s the “Late Afternoon Show host of the year” category.

The shows in contention for the late afternoon show of the Year are GYASO GYASO,YE WO KROM, AKWAABA,
NYANSAPO,EKWANSO NSEM,AYIKOO,OKWANSO ANIGYE

Meet the top seven(7) personalities nominated for the late afternoon show host of the year category.

Dr Prekese

Coax radio personality Danny Kwame Dwumah-Mensah,popularly known as Dr Prekese is the host of “Gyaso Gyaso” on Bryt 99.1 fm.Married to Gifty Sampong with two children; Jason and Yolanda. Dr Prekese has been doing radio since 1999.He is nominated in the Most Valuable Personality of the year category.Considering Doctor Prekese’s performance under the year of review Some of us think he deserves to win the most valuable personality of the year award.

Londona

According to him,his desire is to imbibe his rich experience and knowledge into the minds of others up coming presenters.He is the host of the drive time show on kingdom 101.9 Fm dubbed “Y3 wo krom” every weekdays from 3:00pm to 6;00pm.He is also the host of Pimpinaa Entertainment show on Saturday.He prowess has earn him three categories in the upcoming ERMEA Awards.Which we think he can also surprise his colleagues.

Bishop Agbey Junior

Astute radio personality,Bishop Agbey Junior of Radio1 fm 100.7 who on the 1st,April,2017 took home the “best drive time host” of the year award at the sixth edition of the Foklex Media Awards in kumasi is also in this stiff competition.Bishop Agbey Junior is the host of “Ayekoo” the finest drive time show in Eastern Region here.Already holding the title as the best drive time host in Eastern Region,and also a nominee in this same award scheme,we think Bishop Agbey Junior is likely to win the best drive time host.

O.K.E

The 2016/2017 FoKlex drive time host of the year after replacing Prince Kwesi Dadzie on Agoo Fm has really proven to be one of the best drive time and entertainment presenters not only in the region,but in Ghana.His prowess on radio has earn him a lot of fans in Nkawkaw and it environs.O.K.E is the host of Agoo Fm’s drive time show dubbed “Agoo Drive”.

Papa Attitude

Papa Attitude,host of “Ekwanso Anigye” on Rite 90.1 fm is one presenter in the Eastern Region who is winning the hearts of radio fans. Irrespective of the location of his radio station(Somanya),Papa Attitude for the pass years has carved a niche for himself as well as his station.We can confirm to you that,the recent competition in the region is as a result of the hard work of Papa Attitude on Rite 90.1 fm.Dont be surprise if Papa Attitude wins this category.

Bretuoba

The former Life fm presenter,Bretuoba for the pass years has worked with a lot of radio stations in Eastern region but he is able to pull a lot of fans in all places he has been.Many radio listeners see Bretuoba as a great radio presenter who knows how to put smiles on the faces of moody listeners.Hosting a political show in the afternoon which is not familiar with radio lovers in Eastern Region,Bretuoba always keeps his listeners to their radio until his show is over.Bretuoba is the host of “Nyansabo” a political show which airs on Hi fm from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
