Highlife musician KK Fosu has disclosed that he is not friends with fellow highlife artiste Bisa Kdei.
Speaking to Johnnie Hughes on TV3 ’s New Day , the highlife artiste revealed that Bisa Kdei is his family in the music business but not his friend whom he can have a normal conversation with or call on phone to check up on him.
“We are okay, we are cool now, but we are not friends like how people want us to be. He has his friends and I have my friends. Can someone call him and ask him when last did he call and said oh bro how are you?” KK Fosu quizzed.
“When we talk about music, we are family in the music business, but he is not my friend. I count Samini as my friend because he calls me and I can also call him.”
There was news making rounds of KK Fosu is picking on Bisa Kdei.
He stated that Bisa Kdei runs from shows he is billed to perform at, and he also went ahead to describe Kdei’s stage performance as ‘very poor’ and even dared him to a one-on-one battle to prove that KK Fosu is the best.
The ‘Sudwe’ hit-maker, who fell out with his old management, is now signed on to a new record label called World Map Records.
He revealed that he does not see music as a career, and that he aspires to be one of the greatest and richest football managers in Ghana .
The ‘Anadwo Ye De’ singer, who has been missing in the music industry for some time now, stated emphatically that he is back and here to stay.
When he was asked how he landed this new record label deal, he said: “It is by the grace, I am even shocked, like I mean sometimes I wonder how people go like his career is doomed and he cannot sing again…and a record label from nowhere would come and say, we believe in your career and you got it, so do it.”
He added that he is happy with this new management because “as an artiste, you need a management that would think of your well-being, your future and also make sure they promote you to where you are supposed to be, but not a management that only thinks about their pocket”.
When KK Fosu was asked if he has any advice for Shatta Wale, he said Shatta should beef lyrically but not take it personal and go violent on the streets.
“Shatta Wale is a raggae artiste, he is not a highlife artiste and it is part of it. Beefing on lyrics in music is cool, but to take it personal to attack on the street, firing or gunning ourselves, I do not think it is good.”
Meanwhile, KK Fosu has released a new song titled ‘Who Say Man No Dey’.
