Kofcity’s finest dancehall act,Blaq Syrup has stated that he doubts the credibility of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and that awards are important only when they come from credible sources.
Since the release of this year’s VGMA winners list, the dancehall act has raised several objections on social network twitter,Facebook and WhatsApp about the winners of the various categories.
According to Blaq syrup,he said “Most people in the entertainment industry get excited when their names pop up in events which are meant to award them but they don’t know Charter House is a money minded company.Charter House have been running things as a monopoly entity in awarding Ghanaian musicians.As a monopoly entity,what would you expect? from my point of view,we need a new credible and authentic music award(s)”Blaq Syrup stated.
However, Blaq syrup urged Ghanaian artistes to remain true to their works and be positive because there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
