Veteran hiplife artiste Ex-Doe has revealed in a recent interview that he was the first Ghanaian artiste to record a song in the Ewe language.

According to him, his ‘Daavi Mede kuku’ song was the first ewe song in Ghana because no musician was composing in the language back then.

He made this revelation in an interview with First Lady on BrownGH TV’s ‘Time With The Stars’.

Ex-Doe indicated that his ‘Daavi’ song encouraged other artistes to also compose songs in ewe.

He also asserted that he changed the music scene with his ‘Daavi ‘ Mede Kuku’ song and Ghanaians embraced it easily.
He revealed that although he is not an Ewe, he lived among ewes; the reason he speaks the language frequently.

“I changed the music scene when I composed a song in Ewe. I paved the way for other artists to sing in other dialects. After VIP composed a song in the Hausa language. Musicians became comfortable to sing in their native language. I am the first person to sing in the Ewe language.”
