Undoubtedly, One Corner was the most popular song in the year under review and as such, many including the artiste himself, Patapaa was expecting that if for nothing at all, he will go home with the Popular Song of the Year Award at the just ended VGMA 2018.

Surprisingly, Patapaa lost in that category to Fancy Gadam. A lot of entertainment critics have argued expressing their displeasure saying Patapaa was the best to win in that category.

New to add his thoughts on this issue is Atom Reloaded, the “Yaajisu” hit maker who reiterated the fact that, Agona Swedru Superstar, Patapaa really deserved to take home the honor of the Most Popular Song of the Year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Atom Reloaded in an interview with Kumikasa.com disclosed that, Patapaa did not win because he (Patapaa) failed to learn and listen to his advise. Adding that, Patapaa saw himself to have arrived, and made no effort at winning the coveted award

“He thought his song was all over the continent so he could win the Popular Song of the Year easily. Using myself as a case study, I won Hiplife Song of Year in 2016 and I did not win it on a silver platter. I spent GHc 3000 on votes. I had two phones and loaded GHc 1500 Cedis on each for voting”, Atom Reloaded divulged his experience to Kumikasa.com.

He however added that, “I was expecting Patapaa to at least contact me on how he could win any of his nominations, but because Patapaa was too confident in winning.

Atom got 69% of the total votes to win Hiplife Song of Year in 2016 by spending GHc 3000.
