Great Ampong Charged Me 3,000 To Do A Verse On My Song–Prophet Albert McWilliams

Award winning gospel musician and prophet Albert McWilliams had a one on one interaction on the Exposé Show, where he revealed how gospel musician Great Ampong charged him ¢3,000 before he would do a verse on his song.

He said; “I spoke to a gentleman called Zion that i wanted a good gospel artiste to feature on my song and he said he was close friends with Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong aka Great Ampong so he agreed to talk to him. Zion called me back later that he has spoken with Great Ampong concerning the feature but Ampong said I had to pay Gh¢3,000.00 before he will do it. I pleaded with Zion to talk to get him to do something about his charge but unfortunately Ampong refused to budge on his price”.

The Hossana singer believes his encounter with Ampong highlights some of the reasons why the Ghanaian gospel music industry is not growing. The A list artistes are not willing to support the up-and-coming talents and he considers it as worrying. Prophet Albert McWilliams is the founder and senior pastor of Lord Jesus Life Chapel – Ghana. He lives in Tarkwa in the western region.

He won gospel song of the year at 2018 Western Music Awards(WMA) with his single Hossana. Currently he is promoting his new single titled “Abumfiaa” which features Sister Thess.
