Popular Ghanaian movie actor, now a raggae dancehall artiste David Oscar has lauded his senior colleague, Agya Koo for his effort in saving the movie industry in Ghana.

According to David Oscar, Agya Koo saved the movie industry from collapsing and needs to be honoured with a statue.

David Oscar in his Facebook comment spotted by Kumikasa.com said that, though many movie producers and shareholders struggled to save the industry after the screens were hijacked by Nigerian movies to no avail until Kofi Adu a.k.a Agya Koo came on the scene.

“Santo was a great humorist , albeit his humor thrived per the antagonisms of another character in Judas …. I dare say his demise was what greatly affected Judas. …. Having said that …..I will pick Agya Koo any day for this simple reason ….. As a University Student, I witnessed an era where if not for the humorous prowess of this Chap, Ghana would not have a movie industry by now. ….. I don’t know why we haven’t built a statue for him yet. #MyOpinion,”
he said

Ghana’s legendary actor and comedian Agya Koo, born Alex Kofi Adu indeed took the local movie to a different level when the industry was really struggling to grow. We say we are grateful for his contribution.
