The management of Zylofon Media has announced the temporary suspension of the live operations of Zylofon FM and Zylofon TV.
A statement sighted by ghanaweekend.com indicates that the decision is to enable the management to undertake some engineering works at the stations as well as some structural adjustment of their operations.
This means that the two channels will not return to normal programming tomorrow, Monday, January 10, 2022 as earlier announced.
This comes on the back of massive resignation from some presenters from the stations.
In the past few months workers at Zylofon FM and Zylofon TV like Sammy Flex, Blakk Rasta, Kwadwo Boateng Cosby, Sintim Koree Chaskele, Isaac Asempa, among others have left the station.
Another information reaching ghanaweekend.com has it that plans are underway to roll out a downsizing criteria which will ultimately see more workers leave the company.
The fortunes of Zylofon FM and Zylofon TV dwindled when Menzgold, a gold dealership company that also belongs to the owner of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah, got shut down by in September 2018 by the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company’s operating license which had initially been granted in 2014, was revoked by the Minerals Commission of Ghana had primarily been for gold trading and export.
