Abuakwa North MP Supports 124 Tertiary Students In Her Constituency

The Member of Parliament for Akyem Abuakwa North Constituency who double as the deputy Minister Of Education in charged of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Hon Gifty Twum Ampofo popularly called Hajia Kande, has financially Supported 124 tertiary students from her constituency

She disbursed a total amount of Ghc154,297.70 for the settlement of their various school fees among the beneficiaries

Hon Gifty Twum Ampofo, who assisted the students with her share of the common fund and her own pocket money has exhibited her commitment towards ensuring a high standard of education for her constituents and beyond

In a short engagement, which was held at her residence in the constituency

She said, ” it is a social intervention for people to get the best from education, since I became the member of Parliament for this constituency from 2016, I have realised that if you want to invest with money it is the development of human resource that will help peace and development

This year 2023 I received applications for support from 89 applicants within my jurisdiction who are entering tertiary institutions like Teacher Training colleges, Nursing Training colleges and Technical universities. I went through all the letters to know each and everyone’s need and I supported with the range from Ghc 500 to Ghc 3000. I spend Ghc 88, 962.20 from the common fund and and other expenditures Ghc 55.330.50 from my personal money
