AKUAPEM NIFAHENE OSUODUMGYA OTUTU ABABIO V RECOUNTS 10 YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT AT ADUKROM/OKERE

The Akuapem Nifahene and Adukromhene, Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V, is recounting a decade of development initiatives undertaken since his enstoolment as chief of Adukrom with Okere/Akuapem Nifaman nationals living in the United Kingdom London on Saturday,22nd August 2026.

Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V says his ten-year reign has focused on improving infrastructure, education, culture and the economic prospects of the people of Adukrom and the wider Okere area.

Among the projects highlighted are the renovation of the Adukrom market, construction of a modern toilet facility at the market and the renovation of the Nifa Basic School.
He has also supported efforts to improve infrastructure at Nifa Senior High School, while establishing the Osuodumgya Educational Fund to support brilliant but needy students in the Okere District.

In addition, Okere now has the following development with the help of former member of parliament for Okere constituency Hon. Dan Botwe, Okere district court, District hospital, Astroturf, roads from Adukrom to somanya as well as Adukrom Abiriw has equally been constructed and major roads within the Okere district and Akuapem/Adukrom Traditional area.
The Nifahene says preserving the history and traditions of the area has also been a key priority, including support for documenting the history and traditions of principal towns within Okere.

Beyond infrastructure and education, he is advocating stronger collaboration with indigenes in the diaspora to attract investment into tourism, agriculture and other businesses that can create jobs and stimulate the local economy.

Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio V has also thrown his weight behind the Akuapem Silicon Ridge initiative, pledging his time and resources towards efforts to position Akuapem as a technology and innovation hub.
He also acknowledged Adukrom Tufuhene Nana Ayisi Koranteng and individuals who has been of help in uplifting the face of Okere and Adukrom.

The ten-year milestone comes as the traditional area continues to push for development driven by traditional leadership, local participation and support from the diaspora. He has therefore encouraged the Diasporans to have investment partnership with the traditional authority on local businesses such as tourism and agribusiness which is the economic drive of the local economy of Okere.
He used the opportunity to call for all to support the traditional authority of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Ahunabobrim Osudumgya Otutu Ababio V (Adukromhene & Okerehene / Akuapem Nifahene) and the 200th anniversary of the Akuapem Odwira festival of the Katamanso War. This Historic milestone, marked by vibrant cultural, traditional and community activities, requires diaspora unity, participation and financial support to ensure a memorable event.
