Calem OG, a Ghanaian musician and music producer based in Russia, has once again made history by becoming the first African and first international artiste to receive an award from the parliament of Armenia.
The award was presented to him on May 12, 2023, Award of Honour to Calem OG from the Armenian parliament (National Assembly of Armenia) for strengthening the cultural image of Africa in the field of arts.
Calem OG was heavily influenced by the musical culture of Ghana during his childhood in Takoradi, Ghana. This interest in music led him to produce and release several singles that have achieved considerable success at an international level. He is known for his hip-hop sound, which blends African rhythms with hip-hop and Drill music style, and often includes lyrics that promote positivity and encourage people to embrace hip-hop and Ghanaian fuse culture and heritage. He has also been credited with bringing hip-hop, drill, and afro beats music to the mainstream in Russia.
Aside from his music career, Calem OG is a software engineer in Moscow, and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends,likes to travel ,plays football and aims to build the biggest charity foundation in the world in the future.
He has achieved great success throughout his career, including winning the Best International Act in Moscow and performing in festivals in Dubai, India, and Armenia.
