The Chale wote street Art festival is an alternative platform that bring music, dance, art and performance out into the street. The festival target exchange between score of local and international artistes and patrons by creating and appreciating art together.

The 2018 edition of Chale wote witnessed the highest turnout of both art enthusiasts and participating artists.

Over 30,000 local and international art lover attended the Chale Wote art festival. Since it began the festival featured theatre, spoken words, interactive, art installation, photography ,live street performances.

The past seven years, the festival has gained recognition from people from all walks of life and it is aimed at promoting the Creative and art in Ghana. The occasion graced by over 200 artistes from Ghana and around the globe including Kenya, Pollens, Nigeria, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, united stages, France ,Australia and England.
Some of Ghanaians in James town expressed their view on the chale wote festival, that serves as amazing history that goes as far back as the 17th century, According to some of the concern citizen, this year, artistes have really portrayed the image of Africa cultural and over 15 different countries globally landed in Accra to showcase their wares and bring excitement.

In an exclusive interview with Chronicle TV, Mr, kojo also share his experience with Chronicle news, “I attend Chale wote festival every year”, he said, and this year event has been extraordinary from the previous year.

According him, he is excited with atmosphere ,security personnel, street painting, food and fashion market places, the live street performance and photo exhibition s,he vehemently expressed.

He also urges the government to bring more security to secure the place next time because it occasion that bring alot of people across the world.
