David Owusu Tours Ghana With ‘The Midwife movie’

Many are of the view that Ghana movie industry is at the edge of collapse, but one man, David Owusu, thinks otherwise.

With over forty-seven movies under his belt, the NELAS London 2022 best director nominee has shocked the entire nation with his latest movie, The Midwife.

The midwife is a comedy drama movie that features Bill Asamoah, tiktok star Asantewaa, Oteele, Mama Kali, Atemuda, Ama Owusua Akill, Cindy Owusu Yaa, Benedicta Aidoo aka Efya Dubai and many others.

David Owusu, CEO of Media 5 Promotions, in collaboration with Pemsantv Job training 2nd Anniversary, is launching the nationwide premiere at the Kumasi Cultural Centre on 28th July, 2023 at 6pm.

Top Kumawood film directors such as Jackson K. Bentum, Jones Agyemang, Frank Fiifi Gharbin have pledged their support for the premiere. Celebrities such as Asantewaa tiktok, Bill Asamoah, Oteele, Atemuda, Mama Kali, and many others are representing the Red carpet.

Producer David Owusu promised that the premiere would be one of its kind due to the calibre of personalities and program lineup.

“This movie will make you laugh and forget your problems. It’s a comedy that won’t be forced on you. But you can’t sit for a minute without laughing, “producer David Owusu said.

After Kumasi premiere, Koforidua will be the next destination, followed by Accra.
