Entertainment journalist and digital music expert Jonilar has advised musicians to shift their focus away from chasing hit songs and instead concentrate on building strong, lasting careers.
Speaking in an interview with Kumi Kasa on Accra-based Max 89.7 FM and Max TV’s entertainment show “Showbiz Max”, Jonilar noted that the obsession with instant hits often distracts artists from developing their craft, brand, and long-term relevance in the music industry.
He further added that many musicians make the mistake of attending radio interviews at the wrong time, often before having a clear strategy or quality body of work to support their promotions.
