Many Ghanaian artistes have off late been accused of song theft due to a lot of them sampling some old songs from most of the legends in the industry and Naf Kassi is one of those new artistes to join the list of song theft in the music industry.
In an exclusive interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda on November 15, when asked about stealing the song which originally belongs to highlife legend Akwasi Ampofo Adjei, she replied, “I didn’t steal the song, I only took inspiration from it because I really love highlife legend Ampofo Adjei and his kind of songs.I don’t steal people’s lyrics, I just take inspiration from their songs”, she added.
“Me Mbo Tuo”, is an old Ghanaian song originally composed by Legendary Akwasi Ampofo Adjei. In it all, Naf Kassi despite sampling Akwasi Ampofo Agyei’s “Me Mbo Tuo” did a massive work by making a wider patchwork, in which something old becomes something new in the hands of a younger generation
