Ghanaian Gospel Singer Songwriter and Preacher, Rev Obaapa Christy shared her past life before fame on Accra Fm, on an interview with Nana Romeo.

The “Wagye Me” hitmaker made it to the public that, she never had her flashy life she’s living today on silver platter, neither she came from a rich family.

She lamented that, she used to sell ice water and pure water on the street whiles she got to sell fried yam in the mid morning.

Moreover, she never stayed with her parents, so she never had it easy staying with a stranger. She will perform all the household chores in the morning and even sometimes gets late to school.

She kept elaborated by saying, even it wasn’t easy for her to concentrate on studies whiles she always owned school fees, and sometimes won’t be fortunate enough to be given food just because she’s not staying with her biological parents.

She used the same platform to encourage the youths and those staying with people who are not their parents to keep praying and believing in God, because “every good thing has to pass through fire”

Obaapa Christy is now about to celebrate her 20 years in her musical journey and she’s calling on all her fans and Ghanaians to support her thank God for her mercies and guidance upon her life and journey.
