I think I’m now better and popular than my days at Shatta Movement — Joint 77

Melvin Da Joint, affectionately called Joint 77 has disclosed that he is now popular, famous and better musically than the time he was working with Shatta Wale.

He told Kumi Kasa and DJ JahSolo on Koforidua based ABEN Fm’s Entertainment show that he is well accepted than before.

“I can say I am now popular than the time I was with Shatta Wale’s SM label, I can now explore and exhibit my talent and it’s taking me far”

Joint 77 was among three other militants comprising Captan, Natty Lee and Addi Self who stood strongly behind Shatta Wale and together made hit songs dubbed” Taking Over” and “Thunder Fire”.

Their relationship with Shatta Wale looked good until Shatta Wale took to his Facebook page to angrily disclose he had sacked all the militants but kept Captan.

The reason for the Militants’ dismissal was later established by Shatta Wale as betrayal on the part of his militants.
