The third edition of the Eastern Music Awards happened on the 7th December, 2019. It was a night of happiness where hardworking acts from the region were rewarded after 2 months of successful voting period.

Although the award scheme has received many attacks from many people about how acts are been nominated and rewarded, this year’s tried to be an exceptional but not enough. One of the categories, ‘Rap Act of the Year’, which seems to be given to the said act who has worked profusely to take the region’s name higher, was somehow not understood how the winner, Elly Element got it. The category was competed with acts like; Koo Ntakra, Tee Rhyme and other rap acts, but to everyone’s surprise, it was given to Elly Element.

One of the hardworking rap acts in the region, Ghentle, from Akosombo, who has studied the awards scheme for sometime now, has blower the winner, Elly Element after winning the award.

“I didn’t attack Elly Element for winning the award, although he had it ‘falaa’, but he should at least stop bragging with it”

Ghentle is therefore suggesting with the award scheme to make the awarding credible in other to make it trusted and also be the best among other region.

The Akosombo rapper is one the best to emerge from the region due to his recent performances on several stages.
His recent performance at the Adomi River Festival where he thrilled fans with his rap skills is mind-blowing.

Eastern Region and Ghana as a whole should be ready to hear more from GHENTLE.
