on

Time to meet one of Ghana’s young and finest music and producer, the brains behind the “Paparazzi Chill ” song from the dancehall king Shatta Wale , well produced and very much appealing to the ears. A song which took over the airwaves and got people talking, yes all the way from Tema i am talking about Keena Gh .

Who Is Keena?
Born Ekow Essel as the second child to mr. and mrs. Essel best known as Keena in the entertainment scene. Keena is a Tema community 1, site 5 based young and a gifted music producer (sound engineer) who has proved himself as one of the best to join the showbiz industry.

He fell in love with music at a very tender age watching Mr. Essel (his Dad) a well trained drummer and also a member of a live band practice and perform at occasions, so i will like to say young kwow inherited this from his dad.

Keena who mentioned the piano and
percussion as his best instruments in our recent encounter with him revealed his works are not limited to just upcoming artists but also worked with award winning acts both from Ghana and outside, names will soon appear below…

When / How Did You Start Recording?
I started production works from 2008 going studio to studio to learn more, i then got enrolled into Diana Multimedia (DMM) to further my skills where i officially graduated in 2010.

After graduation i had a laptop which aided me in recording artists from my home just like the story of other upcoming sound engineers until i gathered enough capital to help setup my personal Music Recording Studio in 2011.

Any Challenges?

There has been a lot of challenges, comming up was not easy and i will say the hustle was real. There came times where producers kick me off their studios just because i was a beginer and trying to learn from the very people i call my seniors. It was real and i never gave up but kept fighting.
