Ghanaian musician and businessman Nana Ansu Asante, professionally known as Nana Ansu, is making a powerful return to the music scene with his brand-new single, “Taskwa.” The Dormaa Ahenkro native is proving that experience, passion, and reinvention can still command attention in today’s competitive industry.

Hailing from Dormaa Ahenkro, Nana Ansu began his music journey at a very young age. He officially stepped into the professional space in 1994 with his debut single “Mey3nfote3 Dea.” Performing under the name Nana Nana at the time, he steadily built his name within Ghana’s music circles through dedication and consistency.

Over the years, he collaborated with notable figures, including Kojo Asiedu on “Madepa Baa” in 1997. In 2000, he further expanded his reach when he teamed up with respected hiplife act Barima Sidney on “Goms3,” a move that connected him to a wider national audience. His 2013 single “Akosua TomTom” also reaffirmed his presence in the industry.

As part of his artistic growth, he later rebranded from Nana Nana to Nana Ansu — a name that reflects his real identity, Nana Ansu Asante. The transition symbolized maturity, authenticity, and a renewed creative direction.
Now, Nana Ansu is back with “Taskwa,” a love-centered song that dives into real-life relationship experiences. The single features Deeboy and was produced by the evergreen producer Kum Musician Abochi, known for crafting timeless Ghanaian sounds. The production blends emotional storytelling with contemporary rhythms, giving the track both depth and modern appeal.

“Taskwa” showcases Nana Ansu’s ability to evolve while staying rooted in Ghanaian musical tradition. His lyrical expression and mature delivery highlight his longevity and understanding of the craft.
Beyond music, Nana Ansu remains an active businessman, balancing entrepreneurship with artistry — a reflection of discipline and resilience.

With “Taskwa,” Nana Ansu is not just releasing a song; he is announcing his presence once again. And if this single is anything to go by, the veteran musician is ready to make serious waves in the Ghanaian music scene.
