Sources close to management of the national service scheme and the ministry of finance have revealed that, the national service allowance which saw an increment approved last year may not be implemented and captured in the march budget as it was said by the scheme and government.
The sources were emphatic that, the scheme and the government has finally decided to rather effect the increment in 2017/2018 service year. When asked what could have necessitated the decision, the source disclosed that, the government has priority areas it would want to focus on and not to pay heed to the diabolical initiation by the erstwhile Mahama administration to make this new government unpopular.
The source further stated that, the scheme had to come out with its 2nd February statement just to calm down tempers and to also buy time .
We tried to find out from the leadership of NASPA whether they’ve been briefed about this new development but to our outmost surprise, they had also heard as rumors and have since vowed to hit the street soon since they have been very diplomatic in all of these .
