It’s not uncommon for musicians to be in the courtroom. Typically, it’s because their partying lifestyle got them into trouble. But when they get accused of plagiarism, things get a little bit interesting. Their artistry comes into question, and everyone feels like they can weigh in on whether someone purposely stole another artist’s music.
KO7 and Rap Tiini just released a song tagged ‘Akye’ produced by Eyoh Soundboy. In fact, the song “Akye” is already making waves in Eastern Region and other part of the country.
In a new twist, news reaching us indicates that Raggae/Dancehall musician Samini has threatened to take these two musicians KO7 and Rap Tiini to court for not seeking permission and approval for using his slogan “Akye Saa” in their song.
There is, however, only one person’s opinion that actually matters, and that’s the judge’s. The judgment could mean the artist walks away free or has to pay up and give another artist a writing credit.Fingers are keep crossed. In fact, Samini’s slogan “Akye Saa” was used many times in the song much more than how Samini uses his Slogan.
Let see what happens if this is true.
