The Return Of Yaw Donkor
YAW DONKOR born in the early 80’s and known in real life as Richard Kwadjo Annor is a Hip Life artist who rose to fame under the Legendary Beat maker Da’ Hammer of the Last 2 in the early 2000’s. He was in a group called Hot Core which was made up of himself (Yaw Donkor) and PaaSom who happened to be his cousin. As a foot soldier of the Last 2 he got the opportunity to be featured on Tinny’s MAKOLA KWAKWE album on a track titled “OFEE DULL”.
His delivery was so on point that fans who don’t really know him till date assume his verse was delivered by another foot soldier of Hammer known as Paa Dogo. His efforts was rewarded as the Hip Life Priest “OBRAFOUR” and Hammer recruited his group “HOT CORE” to feature on the first compilation under the EXECUTION ENTERTAINMENT RECORD LABEL owned by Obrafour. They titled their track “Ntakaa” which has been a classic ageless song till date. He also made a cameo in Obrafour’s Sete video.
Richard Kwadjo Annor had his basic education at the King of Kings International school at Dzorwulu and later moved to Dzorwulu Junior High before completing his senior high education at Aburi Secondary Technical now know as Presbyterian Senior High Technical school. He then went on to the Takoradi Polytechnic where he pursued Graphic designing. He has been in the corporate sector for nearly 12 years and realized he can’t run away from his first love “MUSIC” so is back to satisfy his fans who have been wondering where he’s been hiding.
He has over 18 songs and a couple of videos ready to be released so all those that have known his voice to get see man behind the name Yaw Donkor. You should meet this 6 feet 3 inches wonder rapper to know how calm and creative he is, no wonder he is Pisces.
He also got featured on songs with the late Terry Bonchaka, Tinny, Paa Dogo Delasi just to mention a few.
Yaw Donkor has returned to stay for good so you can feed your ears with good music.
