UPITAR IS NOT MATURED ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND MY LYRICS – STONEBWOY
Just when we thought all the jabs in the music industry has died, we chanced on a yet, another classic yet-to-be released music project aimed at dissing dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.
From what started as a lyrical jab in his recent song title Migraine , it seems fellow dancehall artiste Jupitar is teaming up with popular dancehall act for a Stonebwoy diss record.
“These words from Migraine erupted the War. “I have a Golden Heart 24karat Chat dem A Chat 24Parrot If them Say A Beef Send Me Some Carrot I Man A lion No Move Like A Rat Earth Lock , No Space Deh Ah Jupiter For All The Man Way A Move Like Lucifer And I’m in the News Everyday Like Lupita Breaking Records Me No Weh Yuh A Hate Me For”
In the wake of these troubles, Stonebwoy has been very focused, staying on top and still, the much talked about artiste in the last few months.
While he stay in the limelight, the
ENKU LENU hitmaker is sticking to his claim that his recent song isn’t a diss song targeted at colleague Jupitar although fans of Shatta Movement and Jupitar have translated his creativity otherwise.
Speaking in an interview with MzGee, Stonebwoy revealed that, Jupitar hasn’t matured like Ghana’s favourite dancehall god Samini to understand his lyrics in the acclaimed diss song – Migraine.
“The song can never be for Jupitar. If they take it their own way, that is how they felt at that point in time because they could have taken it in a positive side as well. The lyrics which was posted on social media was self-explanatory. I’m a writer and composer so I try to always make sense in my songs but if they connect one line to the other and they feel it is directed to them, they have the right to take it like that,” Stonebwoy explained.
Adding that he’s amazed Samini who’s Highgrade Family lable was also mentioned in the same song didn’t react negatively because of maturity.
“I wasn’t surprised to hear Jupitar’s issue because I do not expect him to have the same thought as I was thinking when writing the song. If Jupitar is showing that this is how he has taken it, I can’t stop it. Coming from my end, I was never dissing any artiste but just rhyming with words. Samini could have also said that I was dissing him when I mentioned highgrade to say certain things. As matured as he is, he knows that this guy is not trying to diss me so why would I be angry.”
Meanwhile, just like Wanlov the Kubolor is yet to listen to rapper D-Black’s
‘The List’ diss record, Stonebwoy says, listening to Jupitar’s War is not necessary hence he won’t listen since there’s no war anywhere.
In the reply diss song from Jupitar to Stonebwoy, we can hear Jupitar singing; “Ugly little bwoy you so childish.”
“Never try such move again, Yuh know me nuh take it lightly when you call mi name…”
The last time we heard of the two dancehall artistes together was when Sarkodie featured them on Whine Fi Me and then when Jupitar invited Stonebwoy on his record titled FIRE . Well, from all the odds we can think of, I believe the beef started with Jupitar’s Clowns where he took similar shots at Stonebwoy indirectly. Listen to the three songs below and be the judge. Amazingly, all the acclaimed diss records were produced by Brainy Beatz.
