There are people who believe musicians should not be paid because music is a ministry and therefore it must be done with volunteers.And for others churches, they claim that they are small churches and their budget does not allow them to pay musicians. Obaapa Gyamfuah has said without mincing that the work of God is not a voluntary work.

In an interview with Ike De Farmer on Brekum based Shalom 100.3 Fm, Darling Eastern music Awards artiste of the year said “It is biblical to pay musicians for the work that they do in the churches . I believe this helps the musicians to focus on the ministry and prayer as they are not busy trying to make money and serve God at the same time” -Obaapa Gyamfuah explained.
She further stated that, Musicians will be motivated to do more for the church if they are paid, “At least some small appreciate can ginger our spirit to do more but musicians are not paid and yet expected to be fully committed to the work of God which does not help them (Musicians).
Obaapa Gyamfuah is currently promoting her new song “Anchor”
